Ronaldo Souza van de kaart door positieve test op coronavirus

Het gevecht tussen Ronaldo Souza en Uriah Hall gaat niet door. Dit omdat Souza positief getest is op het coronavirus. He gevecht zou vandaag moeten plaatsvinden in de gesloten VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena van Florida. Alle aanwezige vechters worden nauwkeurig begeleid en getest. Voor nu is Souza de enige atleet met een positieve test.

De UFC bracht het nieuws via ESPN naar buiten: “UFC’s medical team examined Souza and his two cornermen and found them to be currently asymptomatic, or not exhibiting the common symptoms of COVID-19,” the promotion said in a statement. As per UFC’s health and safety protocols, all three men have left the host hotel and will be self-isolating off premises, where UFC’s medical team will monitor their conditions remotely and will provide assistance with any necessary treatment.”
