Afgelopen zaterdag 19 januari vochten Henry Cejudo en TJ Dillashaw voor de Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight wereldtitel in de Barclays Center van Brooklyn, New York. De huidige kampioen liet er geen gras over groeien en haalde de scheidsrechter na 32 seconden over om er tussen te springen.

Tijdens de post-fight press conference ontving TJ Dillashaw verschillende vragen over de stoppage: “It is stolen from me. It is a title fight, and you gonna stop the fight like that.. I was in a single leg (takedown). It is ridiculous. I am frustrated.”

Ook Dana White heeft gesproken over de stoppage: “I thought it was an early stoppage, too. Listen, you got two of the best guys in the world, two world champions in a super-fight. Let them fight. Let them finish. I’m not taking anything away from Cejudo, because the fight went 20 seconds and Cejudo busted him up. I’m sure when you saw him sitting here, he looks like he was in a three-round fight. But Jesus Christ, let them fight. Horrible stoppage”
