Vannacht is bekend geworden dat Tony Ferguson een ernstige knieblessure heeft opgelopen en hierdoor aanstaande zaterdag niet kan vechten om de Lightweight titel tegen Khabib Nurmagomedov. De Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heeft echter snel gehandeld en heeft Featherweight Kampioen Max Holloway bereidt gevonden om op short notice in te stappen en om te vechten voor de Lightweight titel tegen Khabib Nurmagomedov.
