Conor McGregor heeft na zijn partij aangegeven naar 155 lbs (Lightweight) te willen gaan.

Hij is naar eigen zeggen klaar om op Welterweight te vechten. Conor, die op krukken binnen kwam omdat hij veel last van zijn scheenbeen had door de trappen die hij heeft uitgedeeld, reageerde op de vraag of hij nu terug gaat naar Featherweight (145lbs): “I don’t think they’re gonna (strip). How can they do that? What would that do to the division of the guy I KO’d in 13 sec is champ. there’s a lot of stuff in the pipeline. Shit’s about to hit the fan, so we’ll see.”

Nate Diaz was duidelijk over zijn plannen voor de toekomst. “I am not doing shit until we go for round 3. I don’t think it’s good business for him to take another fight.” Ook over de uitkomst van het gevecht had Diaz een duidelijke mening: “ I didn’t think for a second I lost the fight. I think he did a lot of running away. They should have taken a point away for running.”
